Federal Programs
Since 2008, TransAction Associates , through its work with the Neponset Valley Transportation Management Association, has managed the National Rural Transit Assistance Program for the Federal Transit Administration. The mission of this national program is to improve the mobility of rural, small urban and tribal communities with populations under 50,000. This is accomplished by providing technical assistance to improve the skills and knowledge of stakeholders involved with transit in rural areas. TransAction provides an online resource center, hotline, training modules, and a peer-to-peer network for National RTAP (www.nationalrtap.org).
